November Calendar News...

Hey!!  Great news I have decided to hold classes on two different days...Carrie (my inspiration for this idea) wants to do pages only (pretty much) So, with that in mind, I thought I would separate my paper arts classes from my scrapbook classes.  I will offer 8 projects a month.  Okay, here is some more great news.  I have been working with my rep at Quickutz to get some better deals and I have managed to get the price down so I can pass it on to all of you!  Each class I will offer in both the regular format, with some free stuff so the value of the class is still there.  BUT, I will also offer it is a "Quickit" format so those of you who have Revolutions can add to your die collection.  I will offer a class with an alphabet at a more than 50% savings with a class each month.  I will try not to repeat the dies.  I will try to save you at least $20 or more each class.  I love the classes and having everyone learning and sharing, but I know money is tight for all.  Remember, you get 20% off your purchases the night of your class.  I am waiting on products for the cards, tray and Thankful pages.  I am trying to get a good pic of the Mica Ornaments and get a mica supply.  I will post that info as soon as I have it.

New Classes!!!

Hey!  New classes for October are now posted.  I am very excited about working with some great new materials.  I love the Tim Holtz G. board!!!  Metal is so fun...I think that Ten Seconds Studio is something everyone should try...thanks Lizzy!!  I am geared-up for winter and I feel like there is a ton of fun just around the corner.  I tried "doodling"  yes, I put it on the front of the 2009 calendar and at first I thought it looked terrible, but then I added the gel pens and it turned out pretty neat!  I encourage everyone to try it just once.  I know you do it while on the phone or waiting for a meeting to end....it is fun and artistic and easy!!!  Happy Scrapin'  I will report in soon!!

I am back

Hello bloggers.... I am back and my hand is finally working again.  I had a "touch-up" shot of cort. and I can use scissors again and write it is crazy fun.  Anyway, what am I working on.  I have had ideas floating in my head about this CD book and I am just finishing it up hopefully tonight (wink, wink)  it is "Wild"  I am using all kinds of stuff from my studio....faux leather, fringe yarns...diamond glaze.   I am loving the TH alcohol inks.  I got my Ten Second Studio "stuff" today and I had to try each mold just once.  It is going to take a little practice and I don't have the mats but next month expect metal!!  I will post pics tomorrow of the tiny books and the CD book I hope.  If not Sunday!!!  Well off to work!

New Classes!!!

Yes,  Not on time, but they are here.  I have added my August Class calendar, but I can't get my pictures to download.  I will be working on it tonight and tomorrow night.  Pictures should be in view soon.  Sorry I have not added a new entry lately (thanks Lizzy for pointing out my "slackerness")  I have been helping my stepson fill out college financial aid forms and schedule classes...I would rather be scrapin' let me tell you.

We are DONE for now so...back to the fun stuff.  I got an awesome deal on "Color me silly" collection packs so I am passing the savings on...the first class is August is a super special sale!  For $20 you get an $18 paper packet, a $5 chipboard tag set and 2 two-page layouts!  I hope everyone take advantage!  I have 5 spots left.

The other really exciting project I am looking forward to is the CD tin book.  I read with my son every night before he goes to bed (my husband does when he isn't working...so not every night) any who,  I wanted to make him a book of his favorite things.  I will have pictures up when the last couple parts come in.  I think you will have a ton of fun with this project.  I am including things like grandma Marlene's dog, fish and cats.....Daddy's tractor, Papa's house etc.

I am very happy to report that I am getting my wrist hopefully fixed tomorrow!  I have a little minor surgery @ 8am and it should relieve most of the pain I have been having...it has slowed my creativity!!!

Lots more to say on another day...enjoy the warm weather!

Just a thought...

Hello all...I have a thought I would like to share with all of you...I am amazed at the seemingly everyday moments we all have, that if captured on film could make the best scrapbook pages or memory albums.
I watched my two year old today drive his little JD tractor down our trail and he beeped his horn and waved  and talked on his cell phone (hand).  I was just laughing watching him about fifty feet ahead of me and I thought to myself "I want to remember this moment, this feeling, the smell of the air everything".  It was a pure joy moment.  I wonder what was going through his head as he beeped the horn and waved to the trees.  There was no one there, but who was he waving to in his head?  Was it Papa? Daddy? Who?
Anyway I am thinking there has to be a way to record small bits of video and put it into some sort of memory item... You can get cards that play music now and who knows soon maybe they will allow you to download a short video.
This is my thought for the day.  I hope you all enjoy your everyday moments as much as I do.

Oh, my chocolate lab way attacked by a deer...my husband and I were dumbfounded.  Really, a deer.  It happened about ten to twenty feet from us.  Crazy huh?   Where was the video camera that day?  She was fine, not a scratch or a sore spot.  She was very lucky.
Enjoy your moments.
